After School Activities (ASA)

Looking for something fun and enriching for your child after school?
ASA is a parent-organized program that brings exciting, hands-on classes right to JSIS! From science experiments and tech adventures to arts, music, and sports — there's something for every curious mind.
All classes are taught by awesome outside vendors, exclusively for JSIS students, and take place right at school!
There's a separate fee (set by the vendors), but scholarships are available through a quick application process.

Financial Aid
ASA offers financial aid to JSIS families as follows:
One fully paid 100% scholarship,
or two partial 50% scholarships, available for each class.
The application forms will be sent via email at the beginning of each session.
All families are welcomed to apply.
How Can You Help?
ASA would greatly appreciate the support of parent volunteers that ranges from administrative tasks to helping students during the first two weeks of each session.
During the first couple of weeks, volunteers can help welcome and guide students as they arrive in the gym and direct them to their instructor.
There are also several administrative tasks that can be done from home, making it easy to help out on a flexible schedule. These may include communicating with vendors, responding to emails, and updating Google Docs and Sheets in preparation for the upcoming session.
We truly appreciate any time and support our ASA families are able to contribute. Even a few hours of help can make a meaningful difference in keeping things organized and helping our students have a smooth start to each session.
